Overview:

As part of Getty’s PST ART: Art and Science Collide initiative, the Hammer Museum presents Breath(e): Toward Climate and Social Justice, co-curated by Glenn Kaino and Mika Yoshitake. The exhibition explores environmental art addressing the climate crisis and its intersection with equity and social justice. Featuring over 20 artists, including Mel Chin and Ron Finley, the show examines ethical approaches to climate justice. Conceived during the COVID-19 pandemic and America’s racial reckoning, Breath(e) challenges polarized views and offers new perspectives on land and Indigenous rights, aiming to inspire discussion and solutions.
